Homes that stand empty
Living in the Balchik region, I quickly noticed that many foreign homeowners only stay here part of the year. When they leave, their house or apartment often stands empty for months. Some owners simply need someone reliable to check the property, take care of the house and make sure everything stays in good condition while they are away.
Homes that could be lived in
Other owners have a second property here that is not being used most of the time. Instead of leaving it empty, some prefer to rent it out for longer periods to people who want to stay in the region for several months or longer.
People who want to live here temporarily
At the same time, many foreigners are interested in spending several months or longer in Bulgaria. Not as tourists, but to truly experience life in the region. Some homes remain empty for longer periods because the owner lives elsewhere or is temporarily away. In such cases, it can be a good solution for someone to stay in the house for a period of time and look after it until the owner returns.

About the founder
Samia
Your Next Place was started by Samia, who moved to the Balchik region in search of a simpler way of living, closer to nature and with more freedom.
Her journey here began when she started helping Venke, a Norwegian homeowner who wanted to remain in her home in Bulgaria for as long as possible. By looking after the house when Venke was away, Samia experienced first-hand how important it is for homeowners abroad to have someone reliable nearby.
Living in the region and seeing both sides, empty homes and people looking for a place to stay, inspired the creation of Your Next Place.
